So here is the question!, would any of you all, hypotheticly buy a cherry, 96 f-250 PSD, 4x4, ex cab, w/chip, Auto, (here's the catch) 250K freeway miles for $10,000 ?
Or should he take less when he sells it?
He is a diesle mech, so it's been well maintained , but even if the engine is good it seems like with that kind of milage the whole truck is got some where.
So if you all could put your self in some buyers shoes and leet me know with all your wisedom if you would but a truck like that. plus who dose have the most miles with least repairs on thier PSD?
Well, private party blue book value on the truck is $10,000, if it is an XLT and in EXCELLENT condition. So, I guess he hasn't completely lost his mind
Man if I could buy a truck around here for anywhere near Kelley Blue Book value I would jump on it. Most everything around here is usually listed for $3,000-$5,000 more then KBB value.
I have a 96 f250 xlt 4x4 in mint condition no rust on the body with a rebuilt trans and got records of maintence on it for $5900 and it had 238,000 miles on it. 10,000 would be high around here.
The value of a diesel truck has more to do with where it's being sold, than anything else. Trucks are much more expensive in the Pacific Northwest than in the south. Incredibly expensive in British Columbia. What might seem like a decent price to you, might be a screamin' deal to someone in a different part of the country.
