Windshield wiper motor problem

At the bottom of the wiper arm is a little plastic cover that goes over the nut that holds the arm to the shaft. Pop the little cover off and then turn on the wipers. You'll be able to see if the shaft that the wiper arm attaches to is turning back and forth or not. If it is you can probably just tighten up the nut. If the shaft isn't moving then the linkage under the cowl trim panel has broken of fallen apart.
