Neutral safety switch only keeps you from starting engine with tranny in gear. I'm not real familiar with the automatic tranny's but is your 95 equipped with the brake safety switch ie. you have to have the break pedal depressed to put the tranny in gear? If so, was the 92 tranny so equipped and is it hooked up? I may be way off, as I said not familiar with auto's both of mine are 5 speeds.Hope this helps. Carl

Did you bleed the slave cylinder? They are a bear to get completely bled. Had to bleed mine several times before it was right. Coarse I didn't have a pressure bleeder I did it the old fashioned way ie. pump and hold etc. Anyhow if the release bearing isn't extending all the way the gates won't open to allow you to select 1st or rev. Found that out on my 95 M5OD R2 when the clutch master cylinder went bad. May be a safety feature or just the nature of the beast. If you did bleed the slave try bleeding again several times and wait a few minutes between cycles (don't know why to wait but it helped get all the air out). Hope that helps. Carl
