how would i go about finding out how many single cab snow fighters like mine were made in 78....mine came from the ontario plant.....im just curious......
I would like to find out the same thing thing about mine but its a 79 and it was built at the Michigan truck plant. I talked with a rep at Ford to get my build sheet but he could not help me on production numbers, He told me that the Detroit library has some of that info.
I would also like to know exactly what the differences are between the snofighters and the F350's I know the Dana 70 out back but what else I always buy for the F350 except for rear end parts. Is that the only difference?
Call Ford and ask them. There's a thread in the 73-79 forum way back that I think will have the phone number. Do a search for +build +sheet in that forum. The thread will have about a gazzillion responses to it and they tell you how to obtain a build sheet for free on your truck. I'm pretty certain they give you a phone number to call. Try that number and see if they can tell you.
I called 1-800-392-3673. I think it's the same # I have used to get build sheets. It took the girl a while but she was able to give me production numbers of a '79. I then asked her if she could mail me the info in writing. She said she wasn't allowed to do that. It's still great to have access to build sheets and history of your truck, all for free.
