Transmission problems
Transmission rebuilt for 3rd time and started slipping after 3,000 miles check-up. Drive works fine until warmed up and reaches 55-65 mph, then tranny slips and motor windsout. Then have to shift manually to shift and slippage starts again. Went back to place that rebuilt it, and was told that they would give me $300 off next rebuild. I am familiar with the parts of a tranny, but have never rebuilt one. Since I work at Raybestos and they wouldn't rebuild it either because they said it was too old. Believe me this is not abused on my part either, because it is only used to pull a garden tractor and snowmobiles maybe 10-15 times a year. Previous owner had truck for 12 years and had the tranny rebuilt, he abused it with a 20 ft. trailer and 4,000 lb car and tractor at least 10-12 times a month and I knew it also, since we work together. Since last rebuild, he hadn't pulled anything with it. Also is there any AOD swaps that will work with this, or any ideas that I need to check before rebuilding or replacing.
