What's this problem with my C6?
First off, it shifts very good and goes into gear without hesitation. The transmission and torque converter are tight and the 460 is able to break the tires loose at will from a standstill. It upshifts fine and downshifts fine when I stand on the throttle. It also, downshifts fine when coming to a stop.
Since I don't have any covering on the floor yet, and the original holes have not yet been covered, therefore, I can hear the transmission very well. After it has shifted into high gear, and I let off the gas, I can hear a sound almost like "marbles loosely spinning around in a bucket". When it is manually shifted down to to 2nd, and then, I let off the gas, there is no abnormal noise. The transmission in all other respects shifts and is not noisy.
I'm putting the finishing touches on the truck this winter, but if the noise is pointing to a potential problem, I had better take care of it now before I get very more much stuff installed in and under the cab.
If it doesn't indicate an imminent failure, I would like to drive it next summer while I freshen up another 460 and C6 to replace it.
I would appreciate your opinions.
