I was wondering if most of the problems with the early 6 psd have been resolved.I have an early 03 that they will probably offer me a replacement due to the many problems i have had.Two rear main seals and a bedplate gasget still leaking.I was wondering about the 05 as far as performance and ride with the new coil springs on the f4x4 models. 2003 cc drw f4x4
I have a new 05 Crew Cab Lariat and there is no problems with the suspension whatsoever. And by the way, I have a new Boss 8'6 Super Duty Plow on my truck and I don't notice any "sponginess" (if that is a word) from my suspension while the plow is on. It does, however, have the plow pkg. (which was not previously offered on Diesel Crew Cab models) so the springs are taller and stiffer.
I think Ford has done an excellent job of redesigning this ) 05 model. I would recommend them to anyone. The ride is considerably better, the turning radius is considerably less (over 5 feet, circle to circle) and the little additional things (upfitter switches, tow command system, upgraded guages, etc.) make for a really nice truck
BTW, I have been a long time Ford truck owner, all Super Duty/Heavy Duty models, so I have experienced them all. Gas and Diesel, this truck really shines above the rest.
