Wiring Location
Can anyone tell me if there are any electrical wires below the carpet on the center hump above the transmission? I would like to install a small platform to whick I can mount a battery charger and other items. I would hate to screw into an electrical wire that might be below the carpet. Any HELP would be real nice. Thanks

I have an 01 PSD and I mounted a mag-light holder w/ 4 1" sheet metal screws on the hump. I put it right near the center console, and, assuming you've got a center console, it ought to be alright to just screw into the floor.

there wasnt any wires right there on my 99 superduty, i dont know what has changed since then. u may also want to look under the truck to make sure theres nothing run under neath the floor above the transmission.

There IS a wiring harness run that runs under the passenger seat, over the hump (in a valley) and under the drivers seat on my 04 F-350 King Ranch.
My truck has Captain's chairs and a center console. That might be the difference.
