Could it be the clutch?
Hi, everyone! I'm a new member on here and I hope some of you can help me with my problem. I own a '92 Ranger XLT 2.3L with 5-speed transmission. I recently took a rather long trip for the Christmas holiday and got into a bit of a traffic jam. Now, I've noticed that I have excessive free travel on my clutch pedal. I have to press the clutch all the way to the floor to be able to shift. I just had the entire clutch system (clutch plate, pressure plate, slave cylinder, etc.) replaced in Jan. 2001. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Oh, I'm steamed! I just had all the regular maintenance done on my truck last Monday; oil change, tires checked, fluids checked(or so I thought), etc. I checked my master cylinder before I left work yesterday morning...it was dry! So I limped it to Wal-Mart, got some fluid, filled the chamber. Clutch is working fine now! But thanks for answering.
