Our bro's down under have an aluminum front cover for 335 series.

Also on this 351C board is info that Edlebrock will release the new 2V aluminum heads and Performer air gap manifold in mid February. Too bad they won't make the manifold for 400's.

We just ordered a piece of aluminum Mon. and was going to start making a proto-type. I was going to post on what the market would be on this.

You might still be able to make and market it cheaper than shipping from Oz. I do at some point need to pull mine off and reseal it. Hmmmm?

I was thinking of even having them anodized. I think that would help with corrosion.

What about the thickness of the plate? The steel one is only about 1/8" I think. If it is thicker it could throw off belt alingment.

I got material yesterday. I ordered 3/4" thick and machine it down to the .125" plate thickness and leave the thread bosses, front pan seal area and crank seal area.

I think that the crankshaft bolt determines the location of the damper and belt alignment. Chrome plating isn't thick enough to affect belt alignment.

A piece of stainless steel sheet, laser cut, would be better. I try to avoid using "corrosive butter" aluminum like the plague.
