Question Flowmaster

I have a 93 xlt supercab 4.0L 5 Spd. was looking at puting on a flowmaster
orignal 40 series 2.25" inlet with dual 2.25" outlets. Anybody who has done a simaler mod. let me know how it sounds. any suggestions welcome too. I just don't want it to sound like a rice machine.

That is exactly what i have on my truck. But I have a 98 3.0 5-speed. I think it sounds really good, especially since the engine is just a 3.0 It's not very loud at all when on the highway, but it makes a pretty nice growl when you get on it around town. Not toooo loud from inside though. I have had mine on for about 2.5 years and had always thought it wasn't very loud at all, and then last week I got rid of my crazy loud Dunlop mud terrain tires in favor of some AT's and now I can actually hear the exhaust. Sounds pretty good after all! lol. But as for a suggestion....fork out the extra money for some Stainless Steel tips.....I had some on my old dakota for 3 years without a spot of rust. Then when i got the exhaust on my ranger, I just got chromed steel tips, and they were surface rusted before 6 months had gone by. They still look fairly decent (the rust is mainly on the bottom where you can't see it), but the stainless steel ones looked way better after 3 years. Just my 2 cents.
