GT-40 intake swap
i have a 1991 f250 w/ a crate 351 w/ a lightning mass air conversion kit and i had to hack everything cause the throttle bodys and tubes are tottally difrent i was wondering what i needed to swap a gt-40 intake on to my truck and where to get the part's so it would be like a lightning top end if anyone knows anything i would really apretiate the help

You need a 351 GT40 lower intake manifold and a GT40 upper manifold, along with the correct throttle body. You can probably get all this stuff from somewhere like Summit Racing or Jeg's. I think you'll also need to modify the throttle linkage to get it to work with the new placement of the throttle.

The stock throttle linkage wont work, but you can purchase the correct size through Ford. The GEN 1 L's use a 65mm throttle body and EGR spacer, and the inlet tube is an "S" shape that goes to the stock airbox location. The TPS wires will need to be relocated as well as some of the emissions components. As far as the intakes go, your best bet is to check out ebay for a used one, since Ford doesn't make the lowers for a 351 anymore.
