Ignition Turn Signal Switch

The multifunction Switch has went out on my 97 Ford ranger. When I looked the part up on Napa the Ignition Turn Signal Switch is all that I came up with. Do you have to replace the whole turn signal arm?

Your Haynes manual will probably call it the "steering column switch." Thats all you need.

Do a search, there are some/one about pulling the switch and cleaning it, seems to have happened to others.

Now that you mention it, theres been a couple of guys that mentioned just turning the emergency flashers on & off a couple of times cleared up problems with the switch. Must clean some dirty contacts I guess.
