Help! Major problem with Turbo?

I was changing the glow plugs, had the intake off, and noticed this on the turbo compressor. Is it toast? Looks to me like there should be a nut on the shaft, is it missing? And where did it go???!!!

I was wondering if it's OK to put a new nut on here to keep it rolling while I finance a new turbo....

This is a 1995 w/ 120,000 on it.

Ouch!!! Looks like you'll be needing a new wheel. From what I can tell (your picture is kinda blurry) it looks normal, besides the tore-up turbo fins. Doesn't look like you are missing any nuts or anything,
What year of truck do you have? Maybe look into a Wicked Wheel, they are around $50 and will replace your intake impeller. I'd tear other parts down, to the intercooler, see if you can find something in there, if something when through it or what happened. It's kinda confusing, cuz only your front fins are tore up, but not the "secondary". Has your intake and filter been leaking? Might want to consider a different one as well. Good luck!

Farmb0y, thanks. I updated the pic with a clearer one. I was concerned that the wheel might be missing a part - a nut missing, etc. I need to run the truck this week before I will have a chance to replace the wheel.timo

Due to the HIGH RPM's the turbo spins at, I would not use the truck until the impeller is replaced. Borrow some other truck and save possible further damage to your engine.

The link didn't work for me. But if you have a 95 the stock impeller is like a wicked wheel. So a stock wheel is needed for replacement. I think I seen them at ITP for 75 bucks.
