Lightning brakes
I recently decided to upgrade/change the front brakes on my 97 f150 to GenII Lightning parts. I bought a pair of drilled and slotted rotors only to find out that there are a few differences that make this swap a little more difficult. The L rotors are 4mm thicker (3/16"). Because of the additional thickness, the caliper does not center on the rotor. So, here is my question. Is the Caliper Mounting Bracket different (this bracket mounts the caliper to the knuckle or spindle) and/or is the caliper itself different, the parts houses show the L and the 150 use the same pads, which seems to me that the calipers would be the same. I don't think that the spindle is different but don't really know. Surely someone has done this before! Any help please!
