Vent Shades On 05 Excursion

I'd like to install a set of vent shades on my new 05 E/B 6.0 and would like to know if any other owners have had good or bad experiences with particular brands out there. Thanks, Jim

Vent shades....I used to but after they flew off my wifes truck I got these and love them.

http://www.weathertech.com/

Now if the link does not work......just cut and paste or Google weathertech. They just slip in your window channel so easy and fast, no need to worry if the tape bonded or not.

I will second Maximum 4X4's suggestion. Weathertech seems to be the most durable and sturdy of the "vent visor" type accessories. As to the in-channel vs. bonded versions, I have only dealt with the bonded version. I liked them well enough - don't know enough about the in channel types and whether they are still firmly attached with the windows open.

Any thoughts Maximum??

I have the Wade brand vent shades on my truck, they are exactly like the Weathertech being that they are in-channel mounted & cost half as much. I've had them on about 4 months and have had no problems with them & I take my truck through the automatic car wash once a week & drive with my front windows down 90% of the time.

Oh Yeah.....They go right in nice and tight. The bonded ones are fine, but I would never buy them again after having these. My first bonded set are still around, probably have to chisel them off, the last set I put on my wifes truck the bonding released......soooo I got the Weathertechs and I like'em..
