What changes are necessary to use an Autolite 1100 carb with spark controller with a plain non LoadOmatic distributor. Someone removed the ball from above the SCV and I am not sure if that was done to allow unregulated vacuume for the normal distributor or just a mistake.
I am getting some vacuume but it doesent seem like as much as I remember on other engines. The engine runs good enough but with the gas war we are in I want to have my engine running as efficiently as possible...
This has been discussed before and it seems like I remember someone saying you couldnt mix the cabs and dis's. I cant believe that. I can believe the Loadomatic distributor will not operate as designed without controlled vacuume. The carbs should be convertable since it would cost too much to cast different carbs for each application.
I think you can plug the SCV hole. Seems I heard about that. Would you need the check ball? Right now I am running with the SCV and no check ball on a 65 F-100 with a 75 300.
