My son has a 94 Ranger, that the headlight lense is yellowing, and not allowing the brightness he desires. What can be done to correct this condition, or what replacement parts are best?
My 87 Bronco use to have the same problem, i take the lightcover off , and then clean it with all the stuff i found in my house (window cleaner, tile cleaner, tinner, etc) and now they bright a lot more,i friend of mine told me to use some polish stuff, but a don't have any at that time, but it may help. the other is buyin it new, or may be at the junk yard. mine's cost about 90 buck each, don't now about yours, but you can find out at kragens or autozone.
Good luck, hope this helps.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Jan-02 AT 11:56 AM (EST)]Fine grit rubbing compound. You can find it at just about any auto parts store and it comes in a variety of grits and brands for very little $$$. It is very effective for chrome and removing fine scratches and rubbing marks also and won't remove the finish. Just use it sparingly.
