Question Fuel Pump Volts

How many Volts should be going to both fuel pumps? This is for 87 ranger 2.9L

Look in the middle left of this diagram.

You will see the fuel pump relay. See if you have voltage across the coil. You should have 12 volts between the red and tan/lightgreen wires. If you don't then you might have a problem with the ignition system. If the computer does not receive a pulse output from the dist module, then it assumes the engine is not running and will shut the fuel pump relay off.
