6.9 starter

Can someone please tell me how many bolts hold the starter on a 6.9 diesel. I`ve got the three ,two bottom front,one upper back,what am I missing?

there are 3. two under one above. that ad the wires, one heavy guage and one light guage for the solinoid i believe.

it may be stuck on with gunk but hold on when it lets go it's a heavy pig.

Are you removing that starter to rebuild it? If so, I may have a set of brushes that will fit it.

No just trying to take it off,and get a rebuilt one but I can`t find the fourt bolt that`s holding it on.thanks for your reply

There is no fourth bolt. Once you have the bottom two bolts out and the top PITA bolt out, it should come off. Take a rubber mallet or a 2x4 and bump it. It should fall off in your lap, literally.
