4 X 4 Module

How hard is it to replace a 4 x 4 module on a 2001 Explorer Sport? Any one ever done one on any Explorer?

The electronic control gizmo was replaced under warranty on my '98 XLT 4dr. It was under the driver's seat.

Its under the dash on the pass. side. Not to bad to replace. But if the module is not responding, usually something like the shiftmotor going bad burns up the module.

4x4 module

Hi,Does anyone know where the module would be on a 1992 explorer would be and my lights for the module don`t come on it just clicks on 4 high and does nothing on 4 low.The motor looks fine but i think it might be in the electrical part of the swift motor.does anybody know anything about this,Thank-you
