Went through your gallery very nice 85.....Im gathering parts to do the same to mine.....How many inch lift springs did you use to clear 39......I already have a set of 37's sitting......I want to order springs from customsuspension.com and dont want to be short or long on the lift.......Any info wil be appreciated....
I know I'm not who you're looking for, but from experience with Carrier Spring Co. (customsuspension.c o m), DO IT!!! Tyler is a great guy to deal with and I'm very happy with my springs....GREAT PRODUCT!!!! My truck is in their gallery, too.
Hey Cletus your truck is huge im not looking for that kind of lift...How much were your springs...im only looking for 6 to 8 inch.....i got a quote from alcan springs for 847 hopefully customsuspension is better
My springs were very pricey...before I tell you how much, I'll just say that National, Atlas, and Alcan Spring were MORE expensive. Not saying that they have a better or inferior product compared to Carrier, but they just charged more. My springs are 12" front and 15" rear soft-ride springs. Soft ride = more leaves (thinner)= more money. All 4 leaf packs shipped to my door were $2275. This included the shipping from Canada. Springs with half as much lift will be way cheaper since you won't need 12 leaves per pack....only 5-6.
i ordered a set of skyjacker 6" lift springs and cleared them nicely...although just recently i removed 2 leafs from the pack so it is apprx 4" lift springs. no body lift and no fender trimming. i did the shackle flip kit in the back so i still have my stock rear springs.
By cutting the body lines out you can clear a 35x12.5 tire with no problems, any wider (like a 35x16 bogger like i run) then you run into the tire hitting the leafs when turning.

i never had too although i am kicking the idea around when i go to 44's
I had to but thats cause i needed fender clearence after cutting 3 of the 4 new boggers when i ran though a tough truck course mud pit, and i only had a day to do it (the only day i had time before the nexr bog), but this also enable me to make new inner fenders (out of swather canvass) to seal the engine conpartment.
How much lift are you running cutts? I know that you have at least 2-3" more than i do (which is none at the moment) from your SAS using the 1 ton springs.
i am running skyjacker 6" leaves up front (with 2 leaves removed) with a D60 SAS and I did a shackle reversal... so i dunno i prolly am running close to 6"
