this topic has been beaten to death try doin a search to get more info. you might want to look into a turner for your truck I've been told it help alot with throttle response. or you coluld take your truck back to the dealer and get it pc reflashed just tell them the slow throttle response almost got you killed.

Welcome to FTE dondon623. Slow throttle response is one of the complaints with the 5.4. I purchased a Superchips tuner from this site's store ( www.motorhaven.com), and it not only eliminated the lag all together, but it also gave me more power (= more fun to drive), and I actually gained 1mpg. All in all, I am very happy with the unit. It might be something for you to look into.
