It's more like "what can I take out" lose the unecessary "junk" under the hood, start with intake and exhaust. The rest is up to your budget. The 2.3L can be modified heavily and with reliability if you do it right. OVALADOAZUL@ATTBI.COM

You can do almost anything to the 2.3L. Something most people don't know is the 2.3L is in a lot of race vehicles like stadium trucks and stuff. I've seen upgrades on the 2.3L that go from 150HP up over 400HP easy. Just a matter of looking. Esslingre Engineering deals just with the 2.3L but most of it is stuff that isn't street legal. Although, depending on where you live, if you put enough stuff on your engine to burn the fuel better then might balance out. But check your laws.
