7.3 engine parts?
Hello, my very first post! love this site. Looking for pistons rings bearings,for 7.3 1993 can not find anywhere. Dealer wants 2100$ and he can't
get the crank bearings!!!! Found a short block for 1850. whats your advise?
It is going to have a banks sidewinder turbo. Any thoughts,on internal upgrades while the motor is out? thanks!!!!!!

Thanks for the replys. No,I have tried all parts houses with no results! Spent hours on the net with little found.
Just picked up 93 f350 7.3 with banks sidewinder turbo,not running,hoped was blown head gasket,but it was not,broken valve destroyed #1 piston which got a piece of the block? Truck is in great shape great paint interior,new brake job(900 bucks) recent tires, leather front seat.
Needed another truck so I can have time to paint my other one in the summer. ( they want 5-6 grand to paint it!!!
I have another 93 7.3 engine which lost all pistons from burning straight gas.
So back to my nightmare where the hell do you get parts?? I am semi- closse to houston,I have called many places,if they have any prices are just crazy.
Any thoughts would be great!!!!!!

I can't remember exactly where I saw it but I know there is a place that sells the lower compression pistons for the idi 7.3. it will maybe smoke a lil more at idle but you will be able to stuff more then 25 psi of boost with the lower comp. pistons and not have to worry about blowing a head gasket.

I have bought parts for my 6.9 at an International dealer, they put these engines in school busses, and probably other vehicles.
