Soot on Dashboard

I am having trouble with a black sooty deposit on the dasboard surface of my 2001 F-350 PS. I don't notice any fumes or see anything comming from the defroster vents, but I continue to have a black powdery buildup on the dash. Anybody else suffer this? Anyone know what to do to fix it??

Maybe an exhaust leak at the downpipe, being inhaled by the blower motor?

I believe you are correct. However I haven't been able to pin it down. Thanks for your response. Anyone have this problem and nailed it down?

It is most likely the up pipes leaking behind the turbo.

Now that you mention it, I have noticed some black dust on my dash board, probably soot. Its not a lot, but I do notice it after a couple weeks after I clean it. Is this a problem I should look into?
