What do these numbers mean?
The KOEO codes are 1-1-1 1-1-1 (KOEO test passes)
1 (separator pulse)
1-1-1 1-1-1 (No codes in continuous memory)
The KOER codes are :
"4" -- you have 8 cylinders
"1" -- The operator (YOU!) are supposed to stomp the gas pedal after the "1"
flicker -- high speed codes dumped here, for an electronic scanner to read
Code 538 -> You didn't stomp on the gas when you were supposed to (see above)
Code 536 -> You didn't depress and release the brake during the test (do this any time after the "4")
Code 632 -> You didn't depress and release the O/D cancel switch during the test (do this any time after the "4")
To your credit, you didn't get code "539" like I did (left the A/C on during the KOEO test). I felt really stupid spending an hour trying to track down codes "53" "39" and "95" once I realized what codes I was really getting.
Run the KOER test again. After the "4", depress and release the brake a couple of times, turn the steering wheel left and right 1/4 turn a couple of times, press O/D cancel a couple of times
When the "1" comes out, briefly floor the throttle (known as the "goose test".
You should be rewarded with 1-1-1 1-1-1 (pass) from the KOER test
