I have pulled codes and get a 31-EVP out of range, 42-system rich. I tried to ge the EGR pipe disconnected, but broke the EGR pedistal. Finnally got it off and played the the EGR and it is reading low. So I thought I would fire it up again the the EGR disconnected, and it actually ran a little better. It wasn't over fueling as much, but still running rich. I re-ran the KOER test and then got the these codes 31-EVP out of range, and now a 41-system lean??? I no it is still rich cause it burns my eyes here in the shop.
I guess I'm not sure what my next step should be. I think I will go ahead and replace the EVP and EGR. Anyone no what else could make this thing run so rich?

The EGR will affect your mixture. At idle it should only affect it if it is leaking.
Yes I took the EGR out and tested it. The ohm reading was low compared to what the manuel said was acceptable. I left it unhooked from the EGR pipe, but left the vaccum line and EVP sensor hooked up, and started the truck. That is when it ran better, but still not good. I did find that the TPS is bad, so I'm going to replace it, and the EGR and see what happens from there.
