Lincoln 6-speed auto
I was browsing the Lincoln website and noticed that the 2005 Navigator has a 6-speed auto paired with the 3-valve 5.4L Triton. Anyone know if this tranny will make it's way over to the F-150's??

6-speed Automatic? I wasn't aware of a ***5-speed*** automatic being available for fullsize Ford's. Was there?
Is this Ford outsourcing for this transmission? Only 6-speed automatic I know of is the GM-Ford collaboration.

Yeah I the two working together to produce "light" duty 6-speeds. Not sure if any of them were actualy meant for pickup's or larger SUV's. Maybe a first sign of a domestic alliance to battle the current onslaught of Asian and European autos. Anyways I do hope to see "reliable" 6-speed auto's in more and more Ford Motor Company products.
