in the past i have checked the blue book prices on my 1970 f-250 camper special. it runs great with a 360 and the body is straight and ready to paint.good rubber and all functions work. the NADA book gives it at over 6000.00 in fair condition, in perfect condition the amount is triple. that seems crazy. are the book prices for something super special. i'm confused...help.
"Book value" and real value are somewhat different.
ACV.- Actual Cash Value can be something different also.
Used vehicals are only worth what the they will bring on the fair market. That cherry 69 may wait a long long time for a buyer at $16,000 but it may sell quicker for 10 and even quicker for 6 or 7 thousand.
Kind if like Antique Roadshow prices - on a good day, and "insurance value"
I sell and buy on eBay - one thing I have learned is, "If two people want something, it automatically worth more"

<!I posted a thread on this last week.admin's deleted it.>
NADA has the values of these trucks very inflated, I do not know why, I have looked at atleast 2 dozen values of other makes/models and there about right.
Look up other car and truck values and you will see they have them at market value unlike the classic ford trucks.
NADA must be pricing these trucks so high for a reason?Future collectible?
I dunno.Maybe the guy in charge of ford truck listings was on crack that day?
i just know that my 1970 ford has a higher blue book than my 2001 does....just thought it was strange.....kelly book doesn't go back before 84 at this time.
