Can I Save My1999 Explorer
Noticed That I Had No Oil Pressure Pulled Over Shut It Down Checked The Dip Stick Showed No Oil Got Four Quarts Poured Three In Started It Up Still No Oil Pressure It Never Got Hot I Was On Busy Highway So I Poured The Lasd Quart In And Drove Maybe 2 Or Three Miles To A Gas Station Iot Started Knocking But Never Over Heated Or Locked Up. Can It Be Saved Or Is It Trashed.

If it's now full of oil and STILL knocking, I'd say you've got serious internal damage; how much is anyone's guess without a tear-down. Good luck, but it doesn't sound good (pun intended).

I would guess that you have some bearing problems and are probably looking at a rebuild which can lead into some pretty hefty damage. A very close inspection during tear down would be important.
