hey. i need to replace the heater core in my 84 ranger. its the 4wd 2.8L 5speed manual version. i have no idea how to get the old one out. as of now i have the dash tore apart and am trying to get to it through the inside of the cab. i looked from the engine compartment first but it looks like the lines that run to the heater core go through the firewall thus it would have to be inside the cab. my dad said on time he had to take a fender off of a car to get to the heater core so could this be a possibility? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think you just need to remove the two hoses from the engine compartment from the heater core, and take the core out from inside the cab. There should be a cover over it inside the cab. You might want to blow out the fluid before removal, or put a plastic tarp inside on the floor.

there is a panel right below glove box by fire wall with 5 screws remove these and you will see bottom of heater core take hoses off and it should come out with maybe a little bit of force then reversal of install i have done 5 or 6 of these they are exteremly easy to do
