Anybody with an MSD Box?

I replaced my spark plug this weekend with a set of Motorcraft 42 plugs . I read on the MSD web site to run a larger gap, so i set them at .50 I notice a lot more power at lower rpms(MSD is not much help above 3000)

Has anybody else played around with this setup?

Thanks, MudKat66

Yeah I've got the MSD 6a box, coil and wires. I never noticed any more power no matter what I did, It did run a little bit smoother with the box but it dropped my mileage about 3 mpg. I started with some platinum plugs gapped at stock than moved them up to the msd specs with no avail, diconnected the box and mileage got better than I got regular autolite plugs gapped at Ford spec hooked the box up, nothing, MSD specs still nothing so then I disconnected the box, left the plugs at MSD specs and got the same mileage and power that I had before MSD. Did you get any better mileage when you put your box in that was the main reason that I bought mine?Travis

I noticed a little more power at the lower end, but gas mileage stayed the same. Also ran a little smoother at idle.

I think now the money would have been better spent elsewhere.
