Download all the way. It's VERY rare that I'll buy a CD anymore as most of them are really overpriced and you typically end up paying for 1 or 2 good songs and 10 bad ones that you never listen to anyway.

I use limewire. Used to use Kazaa, but it was full of viruses. I've been told that Morpheus is a good service as well. Downloading is so convienent that it has become my only method of getting music.

WinMx At www.winmx.com Install program and send it out to get any song you want. No spam, viruses, or trojans. P2P network. Very safe if not over done.
People with DSL and cable tend to get greedy cause of the fast downloads. That gets them busted.

I have cable internet, but the only thing that keeps me from geting a million songs is that 1. Dont want to get busted 2. I dont download songs that I dont like, and I hardly hear any new good songs anymore.

I'm not too sure about that. A guy at work was using minmx to get music (big no,no) and then the computer started acting funny. The computer guys claim to have found 30+ viruses/parasites on it.

I use the new Napster most of the time. There is also this cool little site in Russia that you can download for 10 cents a song.

I doubt he got it from winmx. My wife and kids have been using it for two years or so with no problems. I run AVG and AdAware every other day and it's always clean.
I'm not sure if they can put a virus in a mp3.
Winmx is not just for music. you can search for and download movies, pictures, and programs as well. The programs I wouldn't trust especially if their EXE's

for most of the music I listen too, the group or artist made their money a LONG time ago. Many are dead.

I've bought 4 CD's in 10 years
