I have a '95 Ford Ranger.....less than 6,000 miles
Nice truck, but the wipers/washer keep coming on all by
themselves!!! It is such a pain to be driving on a sunny day and have
'em go off for no reason. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it?? Any help here would be appreciated....thanks in advance
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Feb-02 AT 09:49 AM (EST)] This is a Ford recall. Just notify ford, fix takes 45min, my 1999 ranger w/35K miles was fixed for no charge.
I know I've got the same problem with my '96 Ranger. I talked with a local electric/automotive specialist and he says the problem with the wipers and washer spray automatically like that is the switch problem and he'll replace it and everything for about $85. But what I was going to ask is do you know if it is a recall item on the '96 Ranger at all or if its just on the newer ones that they are recalling them or even if its really a recall? Thanks Ken.
