stalling problem

I own a 96 F250 with a 7.3. lately I've been having a problem with it stalling. only at idle or when I'm off the gas. It might go a week before it stalls and only do it once or it might stall 2-3 times, close together. Lately it's been happening more and I've even had a couple of episodes where I'm on the highway and it will lurch REAL bad, like someone turned off the switch and turned it back on. Oh, when it stalls, it starts right back up when I crank it back up. HELP!

Look up the CPS or CMP or the Camp sensor. These are all the same thing. This is stalling problem. Iam 99.9% sure of it. Read a little on it, then go to international and get one for half the price that Ford will charge. Look up johnsdiesel on this site look in his gallery and it will tell you how to change it on your own, where it it is and the tools needed. Takes about 10 minutes. A 10mm socket and ext. And a flat screwdriver. If you have the Dealership do it it will run you 200.00 plus laborprobably about another 50.00 bucks.

Red face stalling problem

Many, many thanks, will do as you suggested. This thing has been bugging trhe ***** out of me. I also have a 99 Jeep Wrangler that sometimes falls flat on it's face. I have attributed that to CHRYSLER PRODUCTS and/or water in the fuel. No dianostic code.
Is there any way to read the trouble codes on this great truck without a reader?
again, thanks.
