Has any one removed the air Muffler and baffle from a 2.3 air intake sytem.

i have a 94 2.3 that i took the baffel tube out ofand replaced it
with a stainless straight pipe. I hade a slite increas in power but not a hole alot. so i put a K&N cone type filter in place of the
restictive air box. that helped out even more.

I've had mine changed for about a year, throttle response is a little better and it sounds a little different (read louder) a straight tube and a cone filter should do the trick!
