I Was Looking Into Buying A Set Of Leveling Springs For My 2wd F150 They Dont Look To Hard To Install..anyone Ever Installed Any? If So What Does It Take To Install Them, Any Luck?
we did the lift to my pickup in the garage with just jackstands they went in and out really easily. just make sure to keep a hand on the spring after you unblot it and start lowering the axle. shouldnt take but a couple 3 hours at the most.
Jacked up the axle, took off tires
Lowered frame on TALL jackstands
Unbolted shocks, springs, spring plates
Swaped out springs
Reversed first three directions
Total time Half a day
I have took out my springs numerous times in my truck. Its pretty simple but you have to make sure you have tall jck stands for your frame like "thesproket26" mentioned. I used a jackall to hold up my frame but i wouldnt recommend it. (its dangerous)
1) do one side at a time
2) take tire off, rest axle on jack stand
3) put axle stand under frame at front by bumper
4) jack up axle a bit so you can remove axle jack stand so axle can hang
5) make sure there is no spring tension now (use chains around springs and tower just in case)
6) may have to remove shocks,
First time was 1.5 hours per side now 20mins a side (damn ttb)
