Well I have a '96 Ranger but stock tires for almost all 2 wheel drive Rangers now are the 225/70R14s. But I'm set to jump up to 235/70R15s. I don't know if you've noticed but there is only like 5 options of tires for the 14" so you're better off just upping to the 15" so you can order almost anything you want. Good luck.

I have a 2001 Ranger XL and on the door tag it says the the tire size is 225/70R15. Is that the normal for current production units? The reason I ask is that I just got it (with 7015mi.) and everyone that sees the truck (myself included) thinks it looks taller than normal
and I'm wondering if it had optional HD suspension. I tried to get a copy of the original window sticker or a printout from Ford but so far no luck.
