Oil capcity

I just purchased a 1977 F-150 4WD with a 351 Modified engine. The oil dip stick is not original and the previous owner made a mark on it to show "full" but is not sure about the capacity of the oil pan. Rather than go by his mark, I would like to know how many quarts I should add with an oil and filter change. I don't have the owners manual.
Thank you.

Thumbs up 6 quarts total on my 1979 351M

Six quarts total...5 in oilpan plus one for filter...Get yourself a new dipstick from one of the sponsors (JBG would be my first choice).
