rough running when cold
Just bought a 98 Exporer, and the last two weeks it is running rough and surging when starting. After 2-3 minutes it stops and idles ok.
I just replaced the IAC, PCV valve and checked the EGR valve. It appears ok and removing the vacuum line does nothing to the rough idle.
Any Ideas?

same problem
I am having the same issue with my 92. Did you buy a brandnew IAC valve ? Did you test the electrical harness with a voltmeter first ? Mine has no power ( if I am doing it correctly - I am a bit slow with electronics ) just curious.

I use a new motorcraft IAC, and no I did not run the ohm and volt test as my meter has a blown fuse. I will do that next. I do not have a Check Engine Light with this problem. last week I did have a check engine light on because of a borken thermostat.
