Tire replacement

Time for new tires on my 2001 xlt 4x4. I just wanted to know what you guys recommend. I want to go as big as I can without having to lift it & I want an all around good highway & light off road use tire. Any suggestions?

I just had 4 P265/70R17 Discover AT suv tires put on my expy and they seem to be very good tires, nice quiet ride and good looks. First time with Cooper tires $650 or so installed.

If you don't have LLS, you can go to 285/75/16's (33" total) without probs.

I've had Bridgestone AT's and now BFG AT's. Both are great tires with the BFG being much more aggressive looking.

Try a forum specific search of "tires" and you'll find tons of recommendations and other info.

I agree with buzzard, go with the 285s. i have the BFGs in 285/70/17, they are a great looking tire that make your suv look like a TRUCK.

I just put on f-stone discovery A/T's also (04 expy 275-70-17) awsome handling! I didn't think that they would be better than the contitrac suv's that were on originally. I put the A/T's on steel rims for the winter but seeing how good they are they might get put on the alloys instead!
