psom checks out now what?
Speedo jumps around about 1-2mph up to about 65mph, then its all over the place 5-10mph. I changed the RABS in the diff. Bought another cluster from a junkyard and had the exact same condition. Brought my original speedo to a shop familar with the PSOM problems and checked out OK. ABS is working properly. Where do I go now. New to this site and appreciate any help.

I opened the diff and checked things out visually. Things looked good. No missing teeth and it wasn't bent. Although I have heard the exciter ring can become magnetized. Would the ABS work if there was a problen with the sensor or the exciter ring? I guess have to go thru all the wiring. Please help.

My speedo bounced around a lot. I read your post and others like it. This past weekend I was checking and changing fluids and my rear end was about 2 pints low. filled it back up and no more bouncing speedo. Imagine that.

Check for any corrosion on the sensor wiring, and follow all the wiring back as far as you can. The signal going through that wire is a pulse signal, and it can be easily interupted if there is a bad connection. Typically, it will make the speedo flutter somewhat randomly though...
