Project is finished, yea!!!

Had a few snags along the way but it runs real nice now!
I did get it running last week but had to go out of town for a few days so I started the finish work sunday.
Heres what it took to finish it all up.
The starter was enguaging rough, the autostart part book said it might be the same as the 300 starter but might not be. I just said screw it and used the larger 302 starter I had laying around, works nice a quiet now. I would have rather used the 300 starter since it was a tad smaller and further away from headers but..
On the way to the muffler shop (uncorked 2 miles) it ran real nice good oil pressure good temp. I ended up with side exit pipes before the tires with 26in glasspacks. Oh yea it sounds nice a street rod like now! On the way back from the muffler shop it started to flood
So when I got back I pulled the sight plugs on the new 80457-S carb, that rear float was stuck again, 4th time this happened. I called up CSK to get another carb since this was total BS, they told me I had to call Holley tec to get a # before I returned the carb. I argued that there should be a mandatory 30/90 day warrenty through thier store, they said no! I called Holley and talked to thier tech guy told him what was going on with the carb and what CSK was telling me I had to do. The guy almost broke out laughing when I told him they said they had no warrenty for new carbs, yes 90 day from place of purchase. He even understood why I wanted another carb after drilling me on fuel pressure and type of fuel and told me to have them call tech and ask for him. Well I got a new carb works perfect only had to adjust the float out of the box and drop the jets to 58. I put 60 miles on it and everything is working perfectly not even a psh from the new headers.

The high stall tq converter allows the transmission to slip more at lower speeds. This slipage allows you to run a bigger cam since the idle needs to be higher to run smooth. A high stall converter as they are advertised give you a bit more low end grunt.
I do have some pictures but they are big. I'll see if I can reduce them in PS somtime next week. But aside from the headders, chrome goodies and the 4.9L emmission sticker it looks like a factory installed 351w. Which is always the real goal of an engine swap.
It also seems to be getting around 14MPG in the city, the six with a non funtional computer controlled system got 8 city and highway no better no worse.
