1 68 orinal f250 key, a 97 f150 key, a 03 windstar key, a chevy tracker key ( my ahole uncle wont get his stuff off our property so i got a lock smith and now i can drive his truck, four wheeler, two lawmowers pluse two trailers), key to the shed, house (one to the regular locks and one for the glass back slider) the key that truns on my lights on my go kart, and the lock for it
I hate having to many keys in my pockets, so I split them into two parts: work keys and personal keys. When I get to work I leave my personal keys in my locker: truck key, house key, garage key, toolbox and gas cap key. My work keys are just the office key, locker key and a small knife keychain. My dad actually has this key holder on the wall with all kinds of keys, 98% of them don't have any use anymore.
I carry two key chains - one with the keys for my Caddy & work keys. The other has house keys (mine & my dad's), keys for various locks around the property, my wife's van & a 2-1/2" adjustable wrench. For those fellow Canadians here, yes it came with the set from Canadian Tire.
I find the adjustable very handy. It fits the electrical disconnect shafts of the robots I work on, and it also opens big enough to work a worm gear hose clamp.
Keys to trucks, house, garage (never locked), parent's house, Dad's place of business, forklift at work, and one for the first truck I ever had on the farm. 10 in all. Two for '91 F250 4x4 on a ring with a brass swivel to attach to my belt loop. This ring is attached to a ring that holds the other 8, plus a metal "Ford Trucks" medallion, a brass plate with my name (made at work), and a small brass dinosaur. The above mentioned "first farm truck" was a bit short on "creature comforts", so it got labeled "the dinosaur", and the girl I was going with gave me the dinosaur keyfob as a gag gift.
I try to keep as few things as possible on my keyring. I have wore out too many pockets carrying a wad of keys and accessories! I have a break-apart keyring and on one end I have my Excursion key and a couple necessary keys for work. On the other end is the house key and another miscellaneous but often needed key.
But at the house we have a key ring filled with other key fobs we have collected over the years! LOL!
I stopped at a Ford Dealer in Edson Alberta and captured a leather tag with my own name on it " Jerry Ford" . Just had to stop and see. the salesmen was impressed enough with my 26 year old truck that he gave me 2 for good measure .
I have a very threatening Bass fishing pocket knife (threatening if your TSA), and of course lots of keys. I have a belief that what ever you have it must threaten the key gnomes away from your keys. I once had a shark key chain and I never lost my keys. I took it off and put them on a generic key chain and lost them all the time. My wife then bought me a pooh bear key chain (think scary bear) and my keys were safe once again.
Not near as many as I used to have! After the ignition switch crapped out on me and I payed a HUGE repair bill, the mech. stated the cause as way too many keys on the key ring was causing too much stress & wear. He said that one house key, one ignition key, one door/trunk key was about all these newer vehicles can stand up to.
