XM ?'s

Anyone living in snow country, how is reception if there is heavy cloud cover. I want to add this to my stereo, I want to be able to get a signal when we go snowmobiling in northern Michigan.......

I have XM in Salt Lake City, Utah. When it is REALLY REALLY snowing Hard, it seems to get a little iffy.... but even with heavy cloud cover, I have had no problems. 99% of the time, it is just great.

I was wondering that myself since I'll be movin' to snow country next year (west PA). Glad to hear it still works good with cloud cover. I don't know why I didn't get my XM sooner, I love it!!!!

Not what you would consider snow country, but in the mountains of north carolina, I have never had reception problems with snow or thunder clouds. I even have fairly good luck with tree cover hanging over the road. I love it and CAN"T go back to regular radio. Heck, I've even stopped carrying my cd collection.
