I have a 2001 F-250 cc 4x4. I have this small vibration that is annoying. It is not related to "driving",but seems like it comes from the motor. With the hood up,it's hard to hear, but you can "feel" it with a hand on the plastic motor cover. Could it be a bad tesioner or balancer? Thanks guys!
I've got an early 99 and when I replaced the serpentine belt I would get a vibration. It only happened at idle when the heater or lights etc. were on. If you watched the belt it would vibrate in the section between the alternator and power steering pump. Changed back to the old belt and vibration went away. The new belt would move about an inch or so in that section. Might be something to check.

I have an 01 F-350 CC 4X4, I also have a "engine" vibration between 1000-1500 RPM sitting still, in park or netural. Below or above these revs. can not feel it. Does not seem to be appreant when driving. Seems like a balance problem or something??? Have watched serepentine and dont really see it flapping or moving that much to make this vibration. Don't know, but if anyone has suggestions, they are well taken.
radtech- I had the same problem on my 02 when I changed the belt (preventative maintenance) to a kelly-springfield. Went to the dealership and got a motorcraft belt and the vibration went away. I then threw the ks belt in the trash
I have had the same vibration for the last 30k miles.. it has 70k on it now. I haven't changed anything the vibration just came on. I feel it most when I am just setting. The dealer even changed the toqure convertor and it didn't help. I am looking for input too..
