2001 Edge 4x2 Front End Clunk
On moderate washboard roads, there is a clunking sound coming from the LF suspension. My truck was at the dealer for a day, checking all the usual suspects (wheel brgs., A-frames, torsion bars, shocks), but the cause was not found. It seems that there is more than usual play in the upper ball joint, but I am not sure. The truck will go back to the dealer for more tests in a few weeks, but I was hoping that someone out there had an answer.

take a large screw driver and put it between the control arm and steering nuckle and go side to side and if it moves then you may have to change it....is your truck under warranty???
