I purchaced my truck with 21K on the ticker and was wondering how to tell what packages I have on the truck (camper/towing/offroad/ect......). I know that on the off road you get the sticker, some skidplates, and some different shocks (ranchos) but what about the other packages. What will they have and where do I have to look to find out.
Welcome to FTE, SLE! You can jot-down your VIN # and then check/decipher the truck spec's using the very first thread in this forum (entitled "Super Duty FAQ's... Read First!"). Scroll down the thread going letter/number at a time and that should give you all the specifics.
As far as the specifics of whatever packages your truck has?... Maybe we can help you out further if you tell us what year? series? etc etc. For example: I have a 2002 F-250 SD CC 2WD short bed 5.4L auto.
Welcome aboard again....Look forward to hearing more about your truck!

Yeh, I've been completely through the vin number desiphering process and actually know a fair amount about my truck but not sure weather or not It may have a camper or towing package. The truck is 2003 F250 6.8L V10 Crew Cab Sprot XLT 4x4. Theres further description in my gallery.
I believe the camper pkg will add a rear swaybar and rear helper springs (a single leaf above the stack which contacts frame brackets under load). The trailor tow pkg lighting plugs etc is standard on a SDuty
No way to tell from the VIN what pkgs are installed on a Ford truck. You might ask a local dealership if they can/will print a replacement window sticker for your truck... or at least see if they will tell you what pkgs were ordered on the truck. They CAN tell from the VIN (using the Ford computer system) what it has.
