86 250 specs
im new here. i am fixing to buy an 86 f250 2wd with a 460. i was wondering if anyone has any specs on the engine and rearend. manual tranny is a 4spd w/ granny 1st. also what would be a good highway gear for this truck?

460 is a good motor, much better than the 351 with about the same gas mileage pulling somthing. 3.55 would be a good gearing for the rear. 4.10 gears will be pulling 2500 rpm at 55mph with stock tires. 2100 rpm at the same speed with 3.55 gears. Thats right in the meat of the powerband.
